
Hydraulic diagnostics and knowledge of how they function. Mechanical and physical dynamics as they relate to machine functions. Experience with safety programs and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Knowledge of industrial electrical control systems to include PLCs, 120/240/480 3ph systems, motors and controllers. Electrical diagnostics and knowledge of how to read electrical drawings. Managing preventive maintenance and parts demand of the whole Facility. Assists with Troubleshooting and repairs of plant machinery. Dismantles machinery or devices to access and remove defective parts. Inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Constructs and fabricates parts to specifications using limited resources. Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking drawings, repair manuals, and parts catalogs. Works on and repairs all types of electrical components such as contacts, starters, relays, overloads, input/output boards, etc. Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components. Inspects drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or performs other maintenance actions. Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition does not deteriorate. Reassembles equipment including machinery, conveyors, packing lines, product handling equipment, etc. Troubleshoots, repairs or replaces defective equipment and parts. Ensures that housekeeping in the maintenance shop, other maintenance work areas, and areas worked in comply with company policy. Assists in the selection and installation of replacement or new equipment. Continuously evaluates and controls the cost of repair and maintenance expenditures.
Maintains the plant and equipment at the appropriate level to provide for consistent, efficient, and continual operation.
Ensures that plant machinery and equipment complies with established company, OSHA, and EPA policies and requirements. Participates in monthly plant safety meetings and conducts monthly safety inspections as directed. Establishes and maintains an accident free work environment.Administers and/or implements a sound preventive maintenance program with appropriate documentation and record keeping.They will also set departmental goals and provide direction, guidance, and development to their staff.
